Submission Process
Entry Completion
Create your member account.
- All supporting materials (photos and videos) that you indicate in your nomination text must be sent with the nomination.
- Include electronic copy of current corporate logo for production (PDF's).
- Entries will be saved in your member account, and can be edited up until the entry deadline on August 28th, 2026. If you require assistance with submissions, please contact our office at 613-548-4453.
- There is no cost for submitting nominations.
Accuracy of submitted materials is the responsibility of the applicant. Information given on the entry form will be used exactly as submitted in the award ceremony through production, presentation, and recognition in the media.
Submission Process
Thank you for your interest in the Pinnacle Award.
The submission process is designed to provide nominees with an opportunity to showcase their leadership, business achievements, community involvement, and commitment to fostering inclusive environments.
Following a successful nomination, nominees will be invited to complete the official submission form for review by an independent panel of judges.
All completed submissions must be received no later than August 28, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
Submission Requirements
To complete your submission, please provide detailed responses addressing each of the following evaluation criteria:
Leadership & Business Excellence (40%)
Describe how the nominee has demonstrated exceptional leadership, business success, innovation, employee engagement, and organizational growth.
Consider including:
- Business achievements and measurable results
- Strategic leadership and vision
- Innovation and problem-solving
- Employee engagement and workplace culture
- Customer, client, or stakeholder impact
Community Impact & Mentorship (30%)
Describe the nominee's contributions to the Greater Kingston community through volunteerism, mentorship, advocacy, charitable involvement, and leadership.
Consider including:
- Community leadership roles
- Volunteer and charitable activities
- Mentorship and support of emerging leaders
- Contributions to local economic development
- Participation in community initiatives and organizations
Commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (30%)
Describe how the nominee demonstrates leadership in fostering diverse, equitable, and inclusive environments within their organization and community.
Consider including:
- Creating a culture of belonging and respect
- Promoting equitable opportunities for advancement
- Encouraging diverse perspectives and inclusive decision-making
- Supporting accessibility and workplace inclusion
- Leading or participating in initiatives that advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
Applicants are encouraged to provide specific examples, measurable outcomes, and evidence of impact whenever possible.
Supporting Materials
Supporting materials are optional but strongly encouraged.
Examples may include:
- Letters of support
- Testimonials
- Media coverage
- Presentations or reports
- Marketing materials
- Photographs
- Awards or recognitions
- Other documentation demonstrating impact and achievement

- Online submission, including all supporting documentation, must be complete by August 28th, 2026 by 4:30 pm.
- If you foresee a conflict meeting this deadline please contact us at 613-548-4453. Once the deadline has passed no further submissions can be uploaded.

Judging Process
An independent panel of judges will bring their professional experience, leadership expertise, and diverse perspectives to evaluate nominations for the Pinnacle Award.
Judges will review all eligible submissions through a secure online platform and assess each nominee against the published award criteria. Submissions will be evaluated based on demonstrated leadership, business excellence, community impact, mentorship, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Online judging will take place from August 29 to September 4, 2026.
All submissions will be scored according to the established evaluation criteria outlined within the Award Criteria section. Judges will consider the quality of responses, supporting evidence, measurable outcomes, and overall impact demonstrated by each nominee.
To ensure a fair and impartial process, judges will declare any real or perceived conflicts of interest and will not participate in the evaluation of submissions where a conflict exists.
The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce staff and Board of Directors do not review, score, or influence the judging of submissions. Award recipients are selected solely through the independent judging process.
All judging decisions are final.
Award Policies
- The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to verify all information provided within a nomination or submission.
- If nominated by a third party, nominees must approve and accept their nomination before advancing to the evaluation stage.
- All nominations and submissions must be received by the published deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.
- The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce is not responsible for incorrect or incomplete contact information provided through the nomination process.
- Incomplete submissions may be deemed ineligible and removed from consideration.
- The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to determine the eligibility of all nominations and submissions.
- Award recipients will be selected by an independent panel of judges. Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce staff and Board members do not score or evaluate submissions.
- Judges will declare any real or perceived conflicts of interest and will not participate in the evaluation of submissions where a conflict exists.
- All judging decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
- All submissions will be treated as confidential and reviewed only by authorized Chamber staff and members of the judging panel.
- The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce reserves the right not to present the award if, in the opinion of the judging panel, no submission sufficiently meets the standards of the award.
- By participating in the nomination and submission process, entrants agree to be bound by these policies and requirements.
