Bianca McGregor
Bianca McGregor is the CEO of Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2000. She began her career in 2004 with the UPEI Co-op Department in international relations.
In 2006 Bianca ventured into public service, working as a grants and contributions manager for both the Department of Canadian Heritage and First Nations Inuit Health, Health Canada. In 2011 Bianca was recruited to work as a director at the RCMP Heritage Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan. Her areas of focus were branding, marketing, product development, strategic partnerships, and fund development. In the throws of COVID, Bianca was recruited to lead Island Nature Trust through an anticipated period of growth.
As the newly appointed CEO of the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce, Bianca is excited to work with its members, stakeholders and the broader community to champion innovation, nurture business development, and advocate for the collective interests of the business community.
Melissa Syer
Melissa Syer began a seventeen-year military career in 2001. After graduating from the Royal Military College of Canada in 2005, she worked on HMCS Algonquin and HMCS Calgary as a Bridge Watch Keeper and as a specialist in under water warfare. After her time in the fleet Melissa spent six years recruiting for the military in Vancouver and Calgary. While working as a recruiter, Melissa earned a Masters in Professional Communication and was awarded the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal for her excellence and leadership in this field.
Melissa's military career culminated at Joint Task Force North with a move to Yellowknife in 2016, where for three years she led a team in planning and executing operations in Canada's North.
Retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Commander, Melissa transitioned to civilian life in 2019 as the Capital Planner for the Department of Infrastructure with the Government of the Northwest Territories. Having spent her career living and visiting cities across Canada, Yellowknife is where she and her husband, Tim, have decided to put down roots. As Executive Director for the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce Melissa is thrilled to serve the business community in a career full of challenge and reward.
Morgan Peters
As Chief Executive Officer, Morgan leads a team of highly skilled and experienced professionals. Prior to assuming the role of CEO, Morgan served as the chamber's Policy Manager from 2012 to 2023 and in this role he gained extensive experience understanding the key issues of members and advocating on their behalf.
After completing a Bachelor of Arts in History and English at St. Francis Xavier University, Morgan acquired a Bachelor of Laws degree at UNB and has called Fredericton home ever since. Prior to coming to the chamber, Morgan practiced law in the community before moving onto the post-secondary education sector.
Tricia Barrett-Butler
Tricia Barrett-Butler is known for her dedicated approach to supporting the business community. Her transition from IT to Business Development & Communications has allowed her to focus on aiding business owners, offering solutions, and encouraging growth across local business landscapes. Preferring to be the "wizard behind the curtain", she facilitates event organization, effective messaging and project management all aimed at fostering a supportive environment for businesses to thrive. With almost a decade of Chamber work, she is currently supporting the Barrie Business Community at the Barrie Chamber of Commerce.
Ryan Eriksen-McKenzie
Ryan Eriksen-McKenzie is Manager, Member Engagement at Calgary Chamber of Commerce, has 9 years of experience in Communications and Marketing for Canada's largest nonprofit health and wellness foundation - adaptable problem solver - campaign-driven storyteller.
